Welcome to Bushleague Sports First ever blog! We've come a long ways since doing our old weekly newsletters for the boys & firing out a barrage of friendly beaks! It's long been a dream to have a site & start talking about sports & now we finally have one & it's a damn good one as well! Thanks to everyone who's believed in the journey so far & we look forward to bringing you fun fantasy leagues, live shows, funny updates & all the best bushleague takes you can get! I started my sports journey at the age of around 6 playing hockey & grew up with a passion for playing sports & being competitive! My first taste of fantasy came at around the age of 12 when I started reffing hockey & got to join my dad and all the officials for their yearly draft! Who knows if it was the fun of all the beaks or the chips & pop (while they drank beer) but one thing was for sure, I loved it! I did that for a few years with the old man & got to know his pals pretty good. One of them was even the high school principle, so I probably caught a few lucky breaks while I was there, haha! After that I started my own in person drafts & we had great parties and good times for years! I'll dive into that more as we go, but over the years life changes and people move & know online seems to be a great way to stay in touch & fantasy just makes it funner! With the football season about to kick off in 7 days it wouldn't feel right if this blog didn't end up primarily football & fantasy, but don't worry as we'll be bringing our Canadian hockey knowledge to the table & so much more! Get prepared to laugh & learn with TKB & guests as we dive into this new Bushleague Sports venture & all that is to come!
FRENS FANTASY FOOTBALL TOURNEY
10 communities go head to head to earn the title of greatest fantasy sports community in Web3. Each league crowns a winner of their own while also working together to top the fantasy points leaderboard! A social rewards tracker will be in place which will reward individual FAAB in league every week! This will create a great way to promote products & communities while also rewarding those who engage with a greater chance to win their league & take home prizes! We will then combine each leagues total score with their teams Faab rewards loyalty points & this total will than be used to crown the top fantasy sports community in web3! A free Bushleague token which comes with a free fitness memberships will be awarded to everyone who joins & the top placers & community will earn much more! WEEK 1 NFL PICKS & FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS
Week 1 of NFL football is fast approaching and that means making those long shot super bowl picks based off pure bias and last years hopes and dreams. The picks that you always change mid season, yet take all the glory the one year it actually pans out all the way. Yah we know the picks, they're called Bushleague picks & we're some of the best at it so buckle tf up! Kicking off night as always, the returning champs & yet again it the Kansas City Chiefs & tho I thought for some reason it was always a rematch of the Superbowl, its actually vs the Detroit Lions & that's we were Bushleague, unless it normally is, than I'm taking that glory! I expect the chiefs to come out their usual selves and easily take home a win night one with Mahomes & Kelce firing as always! Will be interesting to see all the young guns at WR this year & who ends with the rock at RB tho as Pacheco & CEH battle it out! On the other side you got Goff who's mostly going undrafted firing off to St. Brown who's been an early target for most in drafts & a dynamic duo at RB that I have in our Dynasty League & sought out heavily in all my other drafts, the rookie Gibbs & veteran Montgomery! It should be a battle & I'm excited to see it go down! Check these picks below to see who we got in all the games!
Some other games on my radar are as always the Broncos, my fav team who go up against Las Vegas on Sunday late afternoon & in the early slot its Cincinnati vs Cleveland for me as we get to take a peak at Watson & Chubb while competing against one of the best duos in the game in Burrows & Chase. Going to be a fun first weekend of football & of course the big Monday night wrap up has the always great Josh Allen Bills playing the massively hyped Aaron Rodgers Jets! Can't wait to check back in next week and see how me & my co-host did with our Bushleague picks of week 1! Speaking of picks, time for some bold Super Bowl calls... TKB - Buffalo Bills win over the Eagles ⛺️🏈 TRAV - San Fran 49ers win over the Bills The boys even called who they will play, let's wait & see how badly this backfires! As for going wild on who to start week 1, thats some bushleague stuff. You just drafted your team, it should be pretty obvious so go with the top guys you picked for a reason, don't overthink it & we'll catch yah next week here & on the Bushleague Sports weekly Live Show which airs on Facebook, Twitter & YouTube to dial you in the rest of the way!
